1. By Downloading APK
Downloading the Android Application Package or APK of a particular app or more will let you install the same from the web on an Android or Android-based operating system device.
Before Downloading the APK, you need to enable the installation of applications from unknown sources on your tablet. To enable the same, you may follow the below steps.
- Go to settings and click on Security & Privacy.
- Amongst the options, enable ‘Apps from unknown source‘.

2. From Windows
In this method, we’ll be installing Google Play on your Kindle Fire or any other Fire tablet editions from a Windows computer by connecting your tablet to the Desktop using a USB cable.
1. Step-1: Enable ADB
ADB or Android Debug Bridge is a command-line tool used to bridge the communication between the user and the device. Enabling ADB on your Fire tablet will give you access to all of its applications and data. Please follow the below steps to enable ADB on your Kindle Fire or other Fire tablet editions.
- Go to Settings and under Device, select Device Options.
- Tap repeatedly on the ‘Serial Number‘ until the Developer Options pop up.

- Ignore the warning and click on Enable to enable ADB.
2. Step-2: Connect The Fire Tablet
Once you have enabled the ADB, connect your Kindle Fire or other Fire tablet editions to the Desktop using a USB cable.
Normally Windows detects the device and downloads the driver automatically but it is quite possible that sometimes it may not. In such cases, you may refer to the Alternative Method to do it manually.
3. Step-3: Download And Run The Program
Follow the below steps to download the program.
- Click on or open Download Program on your Desktop.
- Click on ‘Amazon-Fire-5th-Gen-Install-Play-Store.zip‘ to download.
Once you have downloaded the program file, follow the below steps to run it.
- The downloaded file will be in a zip file format. A zip file format is an archive file format that supports lossless data compression. As the downloaded file is in zip file format, extract or unzip the file.
- Open the extracted file and double-click on ‘1-Install-Play-Store.bat‘.
- Unlock your Fire tablet and allow USB debugging by clicking on ‘OK‘. If any error, try closing the command prompt window and running the ‘1-Install-Play-Store.bat‘ file again.
- On the command prompt window, type ‘2‘ and press the ENTER key on your keyboard.
- It may take some time and once done, reboot your Fire tablet. To reboot, you may simply restart your Fire tablet.
After rebooting your Fire tablet, you’ll find the Google Play app on the Menu. Click on the Google Play app and sign-in or sign-up with your details. You may also consider disabling ADB as the Fire tablet and personal data are not secure when ADB is enabled.
